Maize flour is made from dried Maize grains. The flour is produced in the traditional watermills of Uttaranchal called gharats. Chapatis are made from the dough and can be eaten with vegetables, pickles, chutney or dal. Maize is grown in Uttaranchal at an altitude of 400-3500m.
